Rosalyn LaPier (Blackfeet / Métis)
Rosalyn is an award winning Indigenous writer, ethnobotanist and environmental activist with a BA in physics and PhD in environmental history. She is currently Professor of History at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and a Research Associate at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution. Rosalyn works within Indigenous communities to revitalize Indigenous & traditional ecological knowledge (TEK), to address environmental justice & the climate crisis, and to strengthen public policy for Indigenous languages. She is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Tribe of Montana and Métis.
