#StandUpForScience: Join us in standing in solidarity with scientists, allies, and impacted communities at a rally and press conference outside the first major convening of climate scientists since climate deniers gained unprecedented power. Check out the event:
Tuesday, December 13, 12:00pm – 1:30pm
Jessie Square, 740 Mission Street, San FranciscoÂ
Science is under attack. We face an administration that proposes to gut science funding, pull out of the Paris Climate Agreement, appoint a climate denier to head the EPA, and derail the Clean Power Plan. And that’s just the beginning. Real people and communities bear the brunt of these actions.
Join Michael Mann, Naomi Oreskes, Peter Frumhoff from Union of Concerned Scientists, and dozens of scientists, allies, and impacted communities for a lunchtime rally to stand together and send a message in this pivotal moment: we must Stand Up for Science.
This isn’t just about climate science — it’s about the fate of evidence-based policies. It’s about solidarity for communities that will bear the brunt of climate impacts, and about taking a moral stand against the war on science.
