This tour, Kwel’Hoy, We Draw the Line!, will celebrate victories, commemorate alliances, and prepare for the coming battles as we work together for the protection of mother earth.

Around the world, Indigenous communities have taken a leading role in grassroots movements to protect water, land, and our collective future. This exhibition introduces visitors to the values and concerns guiding Indigenous-led environmentalism, testifying to the resilience and courage of Native communities today.

The Natural History Museum is in Tampa for the ASTC convention. If you’re around, come visit us at Booth #234. We don’t have our museum bus on the floor this year, but we have lots of buttons and shwag, and some shiny new programs to share with you.

Bringing together media theorist Darin Barney and documentary filmmaker Amy Miller, we will illuminate some of the battle lines and divisions at play in the global response to climate change, paying particular attention to the politics of pipelines, the impacts of carbon markets, and resistance from the communities most impacted.

How are countries affected by and responsible for climate change? Are countries the right vehicles – the right organizational forms – for addressing climate change? What are the limitations and failures of countries (especially our own) in this work?
